Exciting news!

From November, we are able to extend the current opening hours of Salford Local History Library on a trial basis.

Starting on Tuesday 7th November, the library will be opening on Tuesdays, in addition to our usual Wednesday – Friday hours. Visitors can book slots here.

Additionally, the Local History Library will also be open one Saturday in four, from 12pm until 4pm, starting from 11th November. This will be a drop-in service for self-led research, aimed at our visitors who are unable to attend during weekday opening hours. A full list of these drop-in days can be found on our booking page.

This is a trial until the end of March 2024, as part of our commitment to adapt our service to suit our visitors’ needs.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Library!
