At Salford Museum and Art Gallery, we offer a popular learning programme for schools, colleges and other educational providers. Our experienced Heritage Facilitators deliver engaging curriculum-based on-site learning sessions, using real museum objects to bring history to life in our beautiful Victorian Gallery and Lark Hill Place.

Salford Museums Schools’ Hub is also packed full of FREE learning resources to support learning at school and at home, including videos, activities, image banks and CPD opportunities for teachers. You can search these by subject, type of resource, and themes within the resources. The cover a wide range of subjects, including local history, the Victorians, the Tudors, toys, art, and much more.

You will also be able to find out more about our Discovery Boxes, which are packed with museum objects, images and local history resources, designed to be delivered in the classroom. They link closely to the National Curriculum, and are supported by digital resources, including videos and activities. Find out more →
