We strive to be family friendly throughout, with accessible ways of engaging with our collections and lots of hands-on activities.

Our popular library is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and offers both drop-in and bookable sessions.

It holds a huge collection of photographs, documents and newspapers relating to Salford’s past. It is increasingly popular for family history research, delving into the history of the houses, school projects and community heritage in Salford.

Our ground floor café overlooks the beautiful Peel Park and the University of Salford’s Peel Building. It’s the ideal place to meet colleagues, study or socialise with family and friends.

Opening Times: Weekdays from 9.30am – 4.00pm, weekends from 11.30am – 4.00pm

With a convenient location close to Manchester city centre and local transport links, we are the ideal location for a special event or meeting.
