Salford Cultural Education Partnership (SCEP) is inviting tenders for a freelance Strategic Lead based in the North-West region for the period April 2024 – March 2025.

The Strategic Lead will lead on the development of a vision and activity plan for SCEP based on consultation with young people, the cultural and education sectors, and scope significant funding to support future work in Salford. Salford Community Leisure Ltd (SCL) is the accountable body for SCEP.

We are seeking to appoint an individual/s who can work to the following scope:

Visioning:
  • Work with SCEP steering group and wider stakeholders, including children & young people, to develop a vision, mission and delivery model for SCEP and its role within the city.
  • Co-design an activity plan to sit under this work
    Fundraising:
  • Work with SCEP Chair and Steering Group to deliver accessible and creative consultation.
  • Identify and scope potential grant funding opportunities to support, develop and embed SCEP’s vision in the city.
  • Undertake and collate evaluation of specified projects to support potential funding applications
  • Undertake bid writing with support from SCEP Chair and membership.
    Communicating and liaising:
  • Regularly communicating with the SCEP Chair and steering group
  • Communicate with stakeholders to gather information to support future funding applications and shape project planning.
Project organisation and management:
  • Lead on the commissioning and oversee the delivery of at least 1 artist commission within a learning setting.
  • Record keeping and evaluation of projects and events delivered by the SCEP.

  • Examples of a track record in delivering similar and relevant work
  • The methodology you would employ to best meet our needs
  • A budget
  • CVs of personnel assigned to the work and what their role would entail
  • Two references
