We have an exciting position available for a Café Assistant whose role is to assist in the weekday operation of Salford Museums café with particular regard to high quality customer care, café duties including sales, food preparation, stock control and maintaining highest cleaning standards.

This role will be based at Salford Museum and Art Gallery, Wednesday to Friday, 11:30am -4:30pm.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has catering experience
  • Has the ability to work in a busy café environment whilst working within set standards.
  • Has experience of cash handling using tills and is IT literate.
  • Is able to speak confidently to visitors and engage them with the café and museums offer.
  • Can work well within a team.
  • Consistently demonstrates SCL’s behaviours
