Featuring a live model as well as a different theme each month, these sessions are a great way to unwind after a busy day. Everyone is welcome to attend, from those starting to develop their drawing skills to experienced artists seeking regular practice. Guidance will be provided by local illustrator and artist Paul Pickford.
All materials are included in the ticket price, with a variety of pencils, paper and boards available for use. We also encourage those who wish to bring their own materials to do so – provided these are ‘dry’ so no inks or paints to help protect our collections.
We are also now welcoming the use of electronic devices if you wish, but please note we do not allow the charging of these items in our gallery spaces.
Sessions run on Wednesdays from 6:00 – 8:00pm and are suitable for ages 16 years and over.
£10 adult | £7 student, all materials included.
See all upcoming workshops below, pre-booking required. Please email salford.museum@scll.co.uk for a student discount code.
This month we’ll exploring that concept with a range of different materials to see how effectively they can be used.
The museum holds countless hidden treasures, so this month we will be unpacking some pieces from our collection to create a scene for the model to sit amongst. This is a great opportunity to practice your still life skills!
This month we will be looking at how to measure the human form when drawing, so that it can be illustrated accurately. This session will be a great mid-year opportunity to refresh your skills.
