In the Making presents the work of ten artists who have created new work inspired by Salford’s geology and archaeology; its geography, waterways, industrial history and development; the people and their voices; as well as Salford Museum & Art Gallery’s collections.
Ten Obstructions came together in 2019 through bOlder, a Castlefield Gallery/GMCA visual artist talent programme for artists over fifty in Greater Manchester.

Featuring works inspired by Salford’s geology, archaeology, geography, waterways, industrial history and residents as well as Salford Museum & Art Gallery’s own collections, this event will allow visitors the exciting opportunity to better understand the processes and themes explored throughout In the Making.
