Salford Museum and Art Gallery has a loan service to support reminiscence work with older people.

Memories Matter is a regional reminiscence resource loan service, and offers real museum collection objects and photographs for loan to organisations working with older people.

These often include day centres, care homes, nursing homes, sheltered housing schemes, charities and independent and community groups. We aim to help these organisations provide stimulating and enjoyable reminiscence sessions for their residents and clients.

Reminiscence resources available for loan:

  • Picture packs of objects
  • Themed boxes of objects

View a list of all the resources available to loan. All resources must be booked in advance and collected from and returned to Salford Museum & Art Gallery on the agreed dates.
