Museum Memento: Niamh Lafferty

In celebration of Local History Month, ‘Museum Memento’ is an exhibition which explores the rich history of Salford Museum and Art Gallery.

Through the personal memories of local visitors and an intimate insight into the Staff that help run it, both past and present, the aim is to create a physical space where the community could connect through local history as well as to share the importance of maintaining and documenting social history.

Niamh Lafferty is a Documentary Photographer based in the Northwest of England. Her main Photographic practise focuses on the subjects Time, Memory and Place. After graduating from the University of Salford in 2022, she has been focusing on the theme of Nostalgia and the role it plays in a person’s development through life.
