Bookable session for home educated children.

The aim of the workshop is to explore the use of colour in paintings by looking at landscapes in the museum’s collection.

The session will contrast paintings of dark industrial landscapes with bright cheerful landscapes. The session will help children to understand how they can use colour to explore emotions.

Participants will be helped to describe a range of different paintings, focusing on the colour and how the landscape makes them feel.

The group will create a range of landscapes using bold colours, bright colours, sombre colours, dark colours and more.

£4.50 per child, 50p discount for Salford residents – booking required.
