On Sunday May 19th, Peel Park will be hosting a celebration of the 1954 film Hobson’s Choice to mark 70 years since its release.

We are delighted to be presenting a selection of related activities on the same day. These will be especially worthwhile for anyone joining in on the Peel Park fun, but all are welcome to attend.

Pop Up Photo Exhibition on the Mezzanine, 11:30am – 4:00pm

Come browse original photos from our library archive taken on the set of Hobson’s Choice, as well as images which depict 1800s Salford.

Object Handling on Lark Hill Place, 1:00 – 2:00pm

Explore a selection of items from our collection that reveal what life would have been like when Hobson’s Choice was set.
