Join local potter Ian Wild from Fire Station Square Pottery for a very special hand building course perfect for those just beginning in the wonderful world of ceramics.

Inspired by our Pilkington’s Collection, we can’t wait to welcome you to the afternoon session that will see each attendee produce two objects, a plant pot and a hanging ceramic basket!

No previous experience necessary, and once you’ve perfected your pot, they’ll be taken to be glazed, fired and ready for collection after the workshop.

Ian Wild and Ang Matthews set up Fire Station Square Pottery in the heart of Salford. Ian became interested in working with clay whilst travelling in Japan. He produces wheel thrown, strong pots, fired to stoneware temperatures, resulting in beautiful pieces perfect for oven to table.

Recommended for ages 14 and up, all costs include materials, glazing and firing.

£25 per person, booking required.
