After a fabulous set of tours, we can’t wait to welcome Cultural Comedy Tours back to Salford Museum!

Comedians x Cultural Sites = Cultural Comedy Tours.

£10 per person, suitable for ages 16 years +.

Combining the most exciting comedians on the circuit with favourite museums, art galleries and more, Cultural Comedy Tours brings the best of both worlds together for an unforgettable tour.

Learn more about the stories and people behind the Salford museum art and artefacts with a jam packed tour of jokes and laughs. Will it be completely made up? Will it be stranger than fiction? There’s only one way to find out!

We’ll be joined by not one but two comedians sharing their research of the Museum collections and guiding you through the Grade 2 listed building for a hilarious night of half-facts, full facts and true-ish stories. Tonight they are:

Hannah Platt

Hannah is a stand-up comedian, writer and Finalist of the BBC New Comedian of the Year Award in 2019. Merseyside-via-Manchester’s finest misanthrope has already been making her mark as a comic, having been described as ‘A voice of a new generation’ by The Skinny and ‘a voice with something to say’ by Chortle, never shying away from sensitive topics with brutal honesty and quick wit. Recently she has been commissioned to make a Laugh Lesson for BBC3 and written on Newsjack for BBC Radio 4. She prides herself on her ability to take difficult and complex topics and turn them into sharp, refreshing gags.

Fox Dog Studios

Foxdog Studios is a double act comprised of IT professionals-turned-comedians Lloyd Henning and Peter Sutton. Combining comedy, computer programming and rock music, Foxdog Studios are making a name for themselves as one of the most innovative acts to emerge on the circuit.

Bringing multimedia audience participation to the mobile phone in your pocket, the duo has performed their unique brand of comedy to sold-out audiences nationwide and played at festivals in the UK and beyond. Their show Robot Chef won Leicester Comedy Festival’s Best Show in 2019 following its sold out Edinburgh Fringe run, with extra shows added to meet phenomenal demand. During the Fringe, the show earned them a British Comedy Guide recommendation along with spots on numerous publications’ top picks of the Fringe, including The Independent’s ‘Best Comedy Shows to see’, The Scotsman’s ‘Most Unusual Comedy Shows at the Fringe’ and The Skinny’s ‘Top Picks’.
