I met Harold Riley on the 24th November 1997. Myself and a classmate had taken part in the ‘Through the Eyes of a Child calendar’ that year and were chosen as one of the winners. We went to Salford Museum and Art Gallery at Peel Park and Harold did a sketch of me on my calendar.

I was lucky enough to meet him again at the Lowry in June 2019 and we chatted about the day in 1997.

I have attached the photos and mementos of the day and a photo from 2019. The photograph and newspaper clipping are actually of Harold doing the sketch of me on my calendar.
