Life Drawing Late: Watercolour

Take part in our popular Life Drawing Late sessions!

These monthly workshops are themed to challenge drawing skills and develop creativity in a welcoming atmosphere.

This month we will be celebrating all things spooky for Halloween and experimenting with a new medium for the programme: watercolour. We’ll be using watercolour paints and pencils to create atmosphere and mood, as our costumed life model strikes poses familiar to lovers of horror movies. We’ll look at watercolour techniques such as layering and have fun experimenting to create different effects.

The session will be led by professional illustrator Paul Pickford. Materials will be provided including graphite, coloured pencils, paper and boards. You’re also welcome to bring your own materials if you wish, including electronic devices, provided these are ‘dry’ – so no inks or paints to help protect our collections.

This session will be taking place in our Victorian Gallery and the model will be nude or partially nude. All materials included.

Adult £10 | Student £7, all materials included.
