I have attached some photographs of a couple of signed items by Harold Riley which I am lucky enough to have.

I have had them framed together.

The first item is a sketch titled “a dog with a butterfly” which he gave to me on the day that he officially opened Sheila Delaney’s house. He sketched it quickly, almost without looking, as we were reminiscing on the doorstep about Salford Grammar School and the Art classes that he used to hold in Buille Hill Park on Saturday mornings in the early 1960’s. In those days he wasn’t seen by us as a famous artist but simply as an ex Grammar School boy  who encouraged us to paint and knew Lowry!

The smaller item is one of his business cards which has been signed on the reverse.

My grandson, Bailey, was working at Hope Hospital when Harold was in there for treatment during his last illness, he mentioned me to Harold  and was given this card to pass on to me, signed on the reverse ” For Norman, Remembering”
