This is a sketch Harold Riley did of me as a singing dog (I’m a guitar player/singer).
It is a card he kindly did for me many, many years ago. My name is Pascale Lydiate and I was a student/6th former at Eccles College between 1987-88. I was a friend of Simon Horrocks and Harold’s daughter, Kate. At the time I never believed that Harold Riley was her dad, so she asked Harold to do this card to ‘prove it’ – probably due to me bugging her a lot – I was quite gobby at the time!
I was really touched by the card and have kept it all these years.
It is a great thing that Salford Museum and Art Gallery are doing, Harold was a great man and artist.
