We have been delighted to be able to start a phased reopening of Salford Museum and Art Gallery.
You can call into our shop and café, book a 30 minute slot to visit Lark Hill Place (the Victorian Street) or book an appointment in the Local History Library. We are open Tuesday – Sunday from 11.30am – 4pm.
From the 27 October visits will include the upstairs galleries as well as Lark Hill Place – you will still need to pre book your visit however this will now be a start time for your visit. You will be asked to visit the Victorian street (Lark Hill Place) first as this area has a lower capacity for social distancing and then you are free to spend time in the upstairs galleries.
Following government guidelines face coverings must be worn when visiting the museum, the local history library, shop and for collection of takeaway items from the café (unless exempt). You must also pre-book to visit the museum and art gallery please and we can only allow one household per booking.
Visits to the Local History Library, café and shop are as above.
Prior to visiting, please also see our FAQs for more information. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been advised to self isolate please stay at home and do not visit the museum.
