3D Printed Wearables by Jamie-Lee Wainman
Jamie’s passion for 3D printing was inspired a personal project where she developed 3D printed wearables using recycled bioplastics.
Due to her 3D printer having one nozzle for the material to come out, it means the colour needs to wipe from one colour to the next. For example, from white to red. This colour change creates an ombre wipe tower that is usually considered a waste product. However, Jamie has incorporated the process of wiping the ombre colour into 3D printed shapes to create unique patterns and textures. Due to the multicoloured ombre effect, she never knows how they will come out. Each multicoloured 3D printed pattern is unique and won’t be reprinted!
