I worked at the Lowry Theatre Restaurant for many years. Mr Harold Riley was a frequent visitor as he lived locally. On one such occasion I greeted Mr Riley and his family and seated them at a table. In the brief conversation we had I informed him that I had recently become a grandmother for the first time. On leaving the restaurant Mr Riley beckoned me over and said he had left me something on the table. A really nice and friendly polite man.
