I have taken fragments from around the city (Manchester) and layered / collaged them together. I am inspired by the mix of old and new architecture and how they work (or don’t work) together for people using the city. I am particularly interested in how hyper-modern developments are marketed with an almost utopian vision. I like to explore textures, patterns and shapes from the city, and combine them in a way which can seem overwhelming but still give an idea about what is going on. The title is taken from a luxury apartment marketing brochure.
