The museum café is open weekdays from 9.30am – 4.00pm and weekends from 11.30am – 4.00pm.

Unless otherwise stated, the whole building is closed on bank holidays.

Getting Here

Our nearest railway station is Salford Crescent which is a 2 minute walk away.

You can travel to Salford Crescent railway station on the train from Manchester Piccadilly, Manchester Victoria and Manchester Oxford Road railway stations

Parking is limited. We have a small car park to the front of the building which includes 3 accessible bays for blue badge holders.  There is also a selection of Salford University run car parks in the local area. For more information please visit the Salford University website.

Car parking charges can be paid for by coins and card. If you wish to pay by phone, app or online there will be details in the car park and a small administration fee will apply. Please note we will not be carrying cash in our tills so cannot give change.

Car parking charges apply at Salford Museum & Art Gallery at the following rates:

  • Up to 3 hours: £2.50
  • 3 – 6 hours: £5.50
  •  Over 6 hours: £9.00
