We still have some restrictions in areas of the museum so we are encouraging people to pre-book online prior to their visit of they can to help us to manage numbers. We encourage all visitors to socially distance and wear a mask if possible.
Booking is essential during school holidays to avoid disappointment.
The museum café is open weekdays from 9.30am – 4.00pm and weekends from 11.30am – 4.00pm.
Unless otherwise stated, we are closed on bank holidays.

Please note: Salford Museum car park will be closed from 4pm on Saturday 28 May and will re-open on Monday 30 May. There is alternative car parking across the road in ‘Irwell Place Car Park’. To see a full list of university car parks please visit this link.
Parking is limited. We have a small car park to the front of the building which includes 3 accessible bays for blue badge holders. There is also a selection of Salford University run car parks in the local area. For more information please visit the Salford University website.
Car parking charges can be paid for by coins. If you wish to pay by phone, app or online there will be details in the car park and a small administration fee will apply. Please note we will not be carrying cash in our tills so cannot give change.
