We are delighted to be able to re-open Salford Museum and Art Gallery on the 15th July for pre-booked visits.

As well as Lark Hill Place (the Victorian Street), the café and the shop, all our galleries will be open including two new exhibitions ‘You Belong Here: Artists Rediscovering Salford’s Green Spaces’ and ‘A Trip Down Memory Lane: Photographs by George Shepherd’.

The Local History Library will be open for pre-booked appointments from the 15th July 2021.

Due to COVID restrictions we have limited numbers so do require people to pre-book , and the first part of your museum and gallery visit will be to the street where you will have up to 30 minutes to explore before going to the upstairs galleries for as long as you wish.

Bookings open on the 1st July and will be released on a rolling programme for two weeks ahead. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been advised to self isolate please stay at home and do not come to the site.

Our temporary opening hours will be Tuesday to Sunday, 11.30 – 4pm for the museum and art gallery including the shop and café. Please check when booking as opening hours may change at short notice.
