START is a Salford based mental health charity that uses creativity, connection and recovery interventions to help improve people’s lives. 2023 will mark 30 years since the charity was founded.
This exhibition will aim to shine a spotlight on the charity and the hard work and dedication of the staff and volunteers and highlight the impact of START on the city and its people.
The portraits will be produced by current service users and volunteers, spanning across the range of creative mediums delivered at START, including painting and drawing, textiles, mosaic, ceramics, sculpture, print and photography.
