Join us to celebrate the opening of new exhibition Invisible Cities: Salford before, during and after redevelopment.

This exhibition focuses on the transformation of Salford between 1952 and 1974, when terraced houses and neighbourhoods were being replaced with modern architecture. Included are photos taken by local citizens and professional photographers, alongside architectural plans, maps and stills from TV and film  to demonstrate how different media can represent similar historic moments.

This exhibition is organised by The Modern Backdrop, a University of Salford led project exploring modern architecture and communities in Salford. The exhibition runs from Saturday 18 May to Sunday 1 September 2024.

FREE, booking required.
