We’re delighted to welcome artist Hilary Jack to Salford Museum & Art Gallery. Hilary joins us to give us an insight into her practice and to discuss her latest commission for You Belong Here.

Hilary Jack is a co-founder and director of Paradise Works, an artist-led studio community in Salford. Her work is often a response to a particular location and socio-political aspects of our everyday lives. For You Belong Here Hilary has created a series of sculptural birdboxes based on the local architecture of the past and present.

Hilary will be in conversation with Lindsay Taylor, Curator, University of Salford Art Collection.

You Belong Here highlights and celebrates Salford’s parks and green spaces. The exhibition includes new work by Salford based artists Jack Brown, Cheddar Gorgeous, Hilary Jack and Lizzie King, alongside archive material, photographs and historical artworks.

You Belong Here is led by the University of Salford Art Collection and Salford Museum & Art Gallery, on behalf of Salford Culture and Place Partnership. It is part of the wider Rediscovering Salford programme which is generously supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.

FREE! Booking required.
