In a very special event, we’re opening the doors of Lark Hill Place after dark and inviting a small number of visitors to join us for a horror film screening on our very own Victorian Street. What horrors await? Join us on our social media pages to vote for your favourite film for us to screen.

Toys Through Time

£1.50 for toy kit, drop-in, no booking required

Come and have a go with our traditional toys from the past. See how they have changed over the years and how they compare to toys children play with today. Not a touch screen in sight! Take home a make-it-yourself  toy kit.

What is a posser? How was a donkey stone used? Come down to Lark Hill Place for a chat and a demonstration about how the residents would have done their laundry and find out the answer to these questions and more!

Got a sweet tooth? Mr Tomlinson’s shop is open every Friday in the school holidays for some sweet treats in return for a donation to the museum. Also, whilst you are browsing the shelves, why not pick up a make-it-yourself toy kit.
