Take a step back in time to Lark Hill Place, an atmospheric re-creation of a typical northern street during Victorian times before taking in the upstairs galleries showing the social history and art collections and temporary exhibitions.

Visits are FREE; however, we welcome donations. Your support helps us to remain free of charge, display our collections, restore our collections, and produce a changing exhibitions programme, events and learning activities for your enjoyment.

You will start your visit at Lark Hill Place where we have a limit of 35 people, and then you are free to explore the galleries.

Visits available from:

  • 9.30am to 3.30pm, Tuesday to Friday
  • 11.30am to 3.30pm, Saturday and Sunday

Suggested donation £3.

Why not add on a Let’s Explore trail to your booking for £2? They support younger visitors to explore our collections and spaces with lots of activities and challenges!

If you are an educational group or are visiting as part of a group of ten or more people, please email salford.museum@scll.co.uk to check our availability.
Children under 8 years old must be accompanied by someone who is 16 or over and who is responsible for them during their visit. We request that for every 5 children visiting there is at least 1 responsible adult with them.
