For Abigail

Here is a drawing by Mr Harold Riley which belongs to my granddaughter Abigail.

It was around 3 years ago when we were passing Mr Riley’s gallery in Lowry Outlet. I told Luke and Abigail who Mr Riley was as I am also an old boy of Salford Grammar School. We introduced ourselves to him and he was happy to speak to the children and enquired which areas of Salford they lived. He did the drawings on the reverse of two business cards and agreed to the photo with Luke and Abigail. They now have them proudly displayed at their homes and Abigail took hers to school when Mr Riley was the subject of a lesson.
