The Tree

We had the pleasure of meeting Kate Riley on a number of occasions to show her the charcoal, along with the Oil on Board in our possession.

We have the provenance for the oil, named The Tree and dated 1964. This oil was painted in 1964 and depicts a tree at sunset on Saddleworth Moor being blown by the wind.

My husband met Harold on a number of occasions at Mere Golf Club and we were both deeply saddened when we heard of his passing.
