I met Harold Riley in Salford Royal when he was a patient in a side room. I was a domestic cleaner and we struck up a conversation about art as I like the arts. His prints are displayed on the ward wall and there is usually a write up underneath the pictures. He asked me if I had ever looked at the pictures and he told me he was Harold Riley. I was very pleased to meet him and chat with him. He asked me if I would like a book named ‘Street Dogs 2’ and he drew me a sleeping dog on the inside of the book for me, although there is a mistake in my name, but this is ok. I was so pleased with it and other members of staff were also given a book.
